Pokemon Go What Keeps Players Hooked

Pokemon has been and still remains a beloved series that shaped the childhoods of a whole generation, particularly those who grew up in the late 80s and throughout the 90s. The Nintendo GameBoy versions of Pokemon are among the world's best-selling video games, second only to Nintendo's iconic Mario series. Given this massive fan base, it's no wonder that Pokemon Go has become a global phenomenon.

However, there are several other compelling reasons why this game has skyrocketed in popularity on both Android and iOS platforms.

First, the Element of Nostalgia，Pokemon brings back cherished memories of watching the TV series and playing the games, transporting us back to those delightful moments of the past. Pokemon Go successfully taps into this nostalgic sentiment.

Second, Realizing Our Childhood Fantasy，As kids, many of us dreamt of Pokemon existing in our real world. Pokemon Go fulfills this fantasy with its augmented reality gameplay. Now, we can embark on adventures worldwide, capturing Pokemon and battling other trainers. It's like our childhood dreams have come true!

These are just a couple of reasons that come to mind. If you delve deeper into the anime series, particularly up until the end of the Hoenn region, and explore games like Pokemon Crystal, Emerald, or Leaf Green, you'll uncover even more reasons for the game's immense popularity!

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Pokemon designs introduced after the Hoenn region. An ice-cream cone? A sentient pile of trash? While I'm already open to a lot of imaginative creatures, those designs take things to a whole new level!
